The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house having a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identification Document 2025 nsfas application numbers, nsfas check names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
